About Cookies

Cookies are small lines of text imprinted onto a computer’s memory or stored as files on a computer to improve use and ease when using websites. There are two types of cookies, permanent cookies and session (also called temporary) cookies. Permanent cookies are saved as small text files in the computer and erased on a pre-set date. They’re used, for example, for storing settings that the user executes between visits on the website. Session cookies are stored in the web browser’s memory (for example Explorer) and erased when the browser is closed. They can be used for example for maintaining logging-in when the user moves from one site to another. Avoiding cookies If you don’t want your computer to receive and store cookies you can adjust your security settings in your browser (such as Internet Explorer).
