Download Instructions 

   1. When the download screen pops-up select the download to a file option.      

   2. You will be asked where to put the downloaded file.
     
   3. Select the folder/directory you wish to download the file to. TIP: It is 
      a common practice for people to have a download directory created for 
      this purpose.

   4. Continue with downloading the file. 

   5. After you have completed the download do the following:


Installation Instructions 

   1. Ensure your system meets the requirements. (See the system requirements 
      page on our site)

   2. Once the file is downloaded go to the file folder/directory where you 
      downloaded it to, double click on this file.

      (If you cannot find the file, follow the instructions below for finding 
       the download file.)

   3. The program will install itself. 

   4. Follow the program instructions during the installation. 

   5. Once installed you will need to start up ALA 2000.

   6. Click your start menu button on the task bar, go to programs and click 
      on Atlet-LC / ala2000.

   7. This will start ALA 2000.

   8. Enter the information requested then click OK and OK again on the 
      demo warning window.

   9. If you have entered the registration key for a full working version
      you must now exit the program and then go back and start up ALA 2000 
      again as per point 6. for the registration to work.

 10. You will now be in the start up screen of ALA 2000

 11. Click on File and then New Project or Open Project.

 12. View the How to instructions by clicking the How to... button 
     under the Help window.

 13. Find the general information topics to understand how ALA 2000 works
     under Help / contents / Project editor, Project description and Drawing size.  

 14. Once you are ready to register ALA 2000 come to our website to purchase 
     your user license via our online ordering system.

 15. If you already purchased ALA 2000 and have your unlock code, click on File
     and then Change license key and enter the unlock code in the Registration 
     key field, then click the OK button. Restart as per point 9. above.

NOTE: For those who decide to buy the CD version simply insert the CD when it 
arrives and follow the installation instructions.



How To Create An ALA 2000 Shortcut On Your Desktop:

For Windows 98, 2000, NT:

   Once ALA 2000 is installed completely per the instructions above, 
   do the following:

   1. Click the Start button on your Task Bar.

   2. Click on the Programs option.

   3. Find ALA 2000.

   4. Place your cursor over the ALA 2000 label and click your right mouse 
      button.

   5. Click on the create shortcut option. 

   6. A shortcut with the icon will be placed just underneath the ALA 2000 
      label in the same place.

   7. Find this new short cut label. (It's here in the program column somewhere)

   8. Place your cursor over this short cut, Click and Hold your left mouse button, 
      then drag and drop it (by letting go of the mouse button) onto your desktop. 
      This creates ALA 2000 short cut.

For Windows 95:

   1. Open up Windows explorer.

   2. Locate the ALA 2000 folder/directory (ATLETLC).

   3. Open up the ATLETLC directory so you see the files on the right side.

   4. On the right screen locate this file: ala2000.exe

   5. Place your mouse over this file and right mouse click once. 

   6. Click the Create Shortcut option once.

   7. This Creates a Shortcut and places it in this same directory.

   8. Locate the Shortcut file called: ShortcutToala2000.exe

   9. Click and Hold your left mouse button, then drag and drop it onto your desktop 
      screen. 

   10. If you want you can rename this file to say ALA 2000. Place your cursor 
       over the new shortcut and click your right mouse button, click the rename option 
       then type in ALA 2000, then click on the label.

   Note: If you have explorer in full screen you may want to make it smaller 
    so you can actually drop the shortcut onto your desktop screen.


IF YOU CAN'T FIND THE DOWNLOADED FILE FROM THIS SITE:

   1. Go to your task bar and click on the start button.

   2. Place your cursor on the "FIND" option. 

   3. Menu will then display.

   4. Click on "Files or Folders" option. 
 
   5. The "FIND" window will now display. 

   6. In the "NAMED" field type in the following: ala2000demoeng.exe 
      or the name of the alternative file you have downloaded.
        
   7. In the "LOOK IN" Field select "my computer".

   8. Click on the "FIND NOW" button.

   9. Once the result window shows you the file location  simply double click on 
      the file in the results window.
