Our Head Quarter in Thame, Oxon

Atlet Limited’s new headquarters complex is less than a kilometre from the site on Thame Industrial Estate, which we had occupied since the UK operation was set up in 1969. After 33 years of continuous growth we had outgrown the site, dispersed across three separate buildings, which was starting to impact on operational efficiency.

Everything at the new location, on the prestigious new Thame 40 business park development, is now under one roof. Leading from its spacious three-storey display atrium, the 930 sq m office complex, served by passenger lifts, includes comfortable self-contained customer meeting rooms and presentation suites. The 2,600 sq m, eight metre high, warehouse structure accommodates a spacious engineering workshop - 20 per cent bigger than the old facility - complete with eight-tonne overhead gantry crane, with separate welding, grinding and wash down areas, and two spray booths.

These facilities are enabling Atlet to expand its used equipment and truck refurbishment operations, and to provide extra capacity for the pre-delivery inspection and, where required, customisation of new trucks shipped from the manufacturing plant in Sweden. There is considerably more space for the storage of new and used trucks.

The complex also includes a sizeable working warehouse area, equipped with five-high racking, where we will be able to stage exhaustive ‘real life’ demonstrations of all the trucks in our range, and present examples from our choice of custom-designed battery changing solutions.

The new Thame HQ marks a major milestone in the successful growth of Atlet in the UK. The facility offers a more spacious, efficient and flexible operating environment, more in keeping with a company of Atlet’s stature; more importantly it enables us to improve still further its first-class service to customers and to further strengthen its position in a demanding and highly competitive market – not just for today, but for well into the future.

Thame is ideally located on the borders of Central, Southern England and the Midlands. It lies within minutes of the M40, offering excellent communications with the national motorway network, and fast trains connect Haddenham Parkway station, two miles out of town, direct to London Marylebone. London Heathrow and Birmingham International Airports are both around one hour’s drive away.
